Meet Mike Mattar, Founder of PIB

Mike has been boating since he was a small child, and when he was only 8, told his Dad that he wanted to be a boat builder when he grew up.

Fast forward 14 years, and you'll see Mike as a young man in his twenties, apprenticing under the skilled hands of legendary boat maker Phil Hatteras. It was in that Manteo yard that Mike laid up his first hull, and rare is the day since then that he hasn't been involved in some aspect of boat design and construction.

Established in 2006, PIB has been immersed in the boat building industry with a passion unmatched and a commitment to quality that is second-to-none.

All of our boat designs have come about from our experiences fishing from the Carolinas to Florida, and in the process defining what itis that each type of boat really would have if it was to be the ultimate fishing machine we dreamed of owning.
